Elsie is causing me to have horrible flashbacks from when she was a rotten baby :)
Okay, not that bad!
But her sleeping has been so messed up!
At night time, she is exhausted, but keeps saying she is not tired and will cry and cry and not stop.
I end up rocking her to sleep.
Then for the past week she has been waking up between 4 and 4:30.
I need to go back and look through years of blogs, cause it seems like this happens every year.
I don't know if it is the same time of year or not.....but I really do not like it.
She cried uncontrollably.....there really is nothing I can do except wrap her tight and rock her (like crazy rocking).
She usually falls back asleep in time for me to hear Porter calling for me at 6.
Just like those days of her as a baby.
I am exhausted!
She has to be exhausted.
I don't know how to break the cycle.
I feel like if she would just got to sleep good at night, like usual, then she would not be so tired and sleep better all night and if she would sleep all night she won't be overly exhausted to go to bed at bed time.
Vicious cycle :(
Wish me luck tonight.
*****
Church went good.
Both Brent and I taught....and the kids were all good.
So yay!
After church I started making some dinner and desserts.
Madi had a meeting and as soon as we picked her up, we headed over to take dinner to the Young's.
Drew just had double knee surgery.
He is doing good, and they probably don't need our help.....but I am glad we got to stop by and I hope I don't poison them with my cooking ;)
We headed back and took a dessert over to one of the families that Brent home teaches for.
The mom is very active, but the dad isn't and their boys rarely come.
Brent really likes the guy, but they have yet to make it to their house to Home teach.
They have done things outside the home, like when they went to the monster truck rally, but they always cancel when appointments are made.
Anyway, today was the moms birthday, so we decided to take them some dessert.
We didn't talk to the Dad, don't know if he was home, but we had a nice conversation with her and one of the boys.
Anyway, it was a nice conversation.
Brent said that we should invite them over to dinner and he would really like to get to know him better, cause he seems like Brent's kind of guy.
And she said that 'that would be an answer to her prayers.'
I am glad that we stopped by.
Then we headed over to the Morgans house for a little birthday celebration for Canon.
They surprised him with an old fire truck that belongs to one of Paul's friends.
He uses it as advertisement for his business.
Anyway, the kids thought it was fun.
Elsie has the cutest friends.
I loved watching them all night.
There were a ton of kids there....but they all got along.
It was a fun time.
And of course we got to bed too late.
Not crazy late, until Elsie kept me up till now.
Oh I hope we can get back on track!
