Wednesday August 14

It was a busy morning.

I ran and then got home and showered and Madi, Porter and I went to get Madi registered.

But we needed to go to the doctor's office first to get proof of Madi's immunizations.

Well when we got to the school, turns out they already had the info that Madi was up to date.

So we wasted that half hour....oh well....

Madi got her schedule and locker and we walked through the school to her classes so she could get an idea of what it would be like.

She is excited...a lot less stress than last year for sure.

She knows more of what to expect :)

Port thought the locker was pretty great.

Madi was bummed to get a bottom locker again this year.

Maybe next year she will get a top...maybe :)

We got home about 5 minutes before Joanne showed up for Elsie's speech therapy.

Good timing.

Then we had lunch and I got Port down for his nap.

Today was Cassi's turn to get her shopping done.

She got some good stuff.

She is excited for school too, but I am starting to sense a bit of anxiety....

But I am hoping it will be a good year for her.

I really hope she has Miss. Drake as her teacher...I think that will make all our lives a lot easier...but we will see what happens.

She was a third grade teacher last year, and I think a lot of her students are moving up with her, so I am not sure if there is room for another or not.

We went to the new Wal-Mart for Cassi's school supplies.

It is gonna be nice to have it so close.

Now I can get most of my stuff done at Winco, and then pass by Wal-Mart to get the stuff that is more expensive at Winco such as shampoo/cond, dish detergent, and a few things like Aveeno lotion and Melatonin.

As we were leaving they had a Cocoa Cola truck giving out free Cokes if you would do 5 seconds of something active.

So Cass did the hoola hoop.

She thought it was pretty great.

It was a fun time spending some alone time with her.

She had a lot of fun doing it too...and I know she enjoyed the one on one attention.

It is Elsie's turn tomorrow (even though I bought a few things for her today....)

She has PT first and then we will go shopping.

It has been fun to take them individually.

Dad went back to work today.

Miss having him around.

I am sure he is glad to get back to work though.

And he shaved his face.

I told Port and Elsie that he shaved and they didn't believe me.

He shaved last night after they went to bed and he left today before they were up....

So they will be surprised when they see him.

Elsie was very excited about it.

She doesn't like itchy kisses :)

The big girls also had activity days today, they went swimming in the Tuscany neighborhood pool.

Madi is excited for Young Woman's.

Only one more activity until she is onto YW.

She likes activity days...but right now it is kinda younger girl heavy and not many that are close to Madi's age...and today there were no girls of Madi's age there.

She and Cassi said they hung out together and had fun.

So that makes me happy too.
