Tuesday August 6

Bubbles invited us over for dinner tonight.
She made us the most amazing dinner....
And she cooked for an army, so we got sent home with tons of leftovers.
She is a pretty awesome lady.
She is always so happy, so nice and so giving to everyone.
She is always at one of the neighbors houses, helping to pick weeds, giving treats, and just visiting.
She is always willing to help anyone with anything.
She is a great example to us.
Well, as we were leaving her house tonight, she said she wanted us to know something.
Not only does she love us, but she wanted us to know that we have changed her perception of Mormons.
In a good way.
She has known quite a few Mormons, Eldon's (her husband) family being one of them.
She says that any Mormon she has met have not been very good people and not lived a very good life.
That is sad.
We talked a little bit about the thing about all churches is, they are all made of humans.
And humans make real mistakes.
It is so sad to me that she had such bad feelings about the Mormon people and religion.
When we first moved here, we were told by someone in our ward, who raised her kids with Bubbles, that Bubbles was very anti-Mormon.
We told her that we had never even noticed that, or anything that would make us think that.
Bubbles has never been anything but amazing and we have been lucky to have her and Eldon in our lives.
I am thankful that Bubbles was willing to love us, despite our religion.
And I am so thankful that my little family has been a good example for her and made her think differently about Mormons.
As we walked back home we talked to the kids.
We talked about being missionaries.
How we are always being watched by those around us and how important it is to be a good person.
And to just be nice.
I am thankful for the teaching moment we got to have with our kids.
I am thankful they got to hear the words from Bubbles herself.
It was a very nice and memorable night.
Never underestimate how you can effect another's life.....good or bad.

*****
Elsie and Cassi went and Played at Lucy Little house today.
Lucy has a sister Cassi's age, so it was fun that they got to go together.
Poor Madi tried calling some friends.....but couldn't get a hold of anyone.
So she found a little craft on Pinterest, and started making a bag out of grocery bags.
She is ready to go to school.
She has been kinda bored lately.
And she has read A LOT of books this summer!
I cleaned my messy sewing room today...well, kinda did.
It's not done yet.
