We sloughed church today with Grandma and Grandpa.
Yesterday was a very long and exhausting day!
Elsie had a hard time trying to recover today.
Hopefully tomorrow is better for her.
Port and I took an early nap around 11:00.
I could not function.
When we woke up, we got ready and headed down to Nancy and Russ' house for lunch.
It was a fun time.
After they ate, the kids took a little trip to the rodeo grounds to look for treasures.
It was the Rodeo this last weekend, and they always like to go and see what fun things they can find once it's over.
Well, Port got lucky and found himself a nice little cowboy hat.
He was pretty excited about that.
They came back and played some games together.
Russ and Brent went for a little ride to check out Russ' fields and equipment.
Brent is wanting to figure out how we can do our own hay....grow and cut.
And Russ is a great help with all of that.
And Port spent a good chunk on time trying to catch kitties :)
It was funny watching him.
He started out running after them, but once we told him to go slow and be soft, he finally got to them.
Elsie was an ornery one today.
Like I said, I hope she gets good sleep tonight.
She wasn't sure about Mr. Priskers (the dog) to begin with...
But Nancy got her to like him.
On the way back we stopped by Ryan and Sammy's house they are building.....and they stopped by while we were there to show us around.
It really makes me want to get started on my house remodel....but I still think I am gonna have to wait.
That's okay.
We got home and hung out and tried to just take it easy.
Grandma and Grandpa got a good nap while we were gone.
And Elsie lost one of her teeth tonight.
She has several lose.
All of the sudden her heard this cry of panic and she was holding her mouth.
We thought maybe she fell and hit her mouth on something.
But when I looked closer, it was her tooth gone.
It took quite a while to calm her down.
It did bleed quite a bit.
After we got her calmed down we asked why she went so crazy about it.
She said she felt worried and scared.
She was so excited about losing the tooth....but that adrenaline feeling....she hates that!
She is happy now.
And the tooth fairy happened to find a half dollar coin, a Buffalo Nickel, a Buffalo quarter AND a quarter that has three horses on it....Strip, Dolly and Sundance.
I think she will be very happy.
The rest of the evening was spent just hanging out and enjoying each other's company.
