Saturday August 3

Today has been a super long day.

Not as in a bad long day....just when I think about the things we did earlier today, it seems like it was a week ago.

Does that ever happen to you?

Weird.

Anyway, I woke up to Porter crying on the way upstairs.

His room flooded again.

And his little blanket was in the water :(

We are trying to find out our boundaries of watering that side of the lawn.

Haven't figured them out yet, obviously :)

Anyway, we got it all cleaned up.

Then I went for a short run, because I wanted to go to the class at the gym too.

I got back and Dad and I went to the gym.

He did some light lifting to try to get back into things.

Came home, showered and then Madi and I went shopping to get a gift for her friends baby sister.

Jaime's mom is having a baby the end of August.

It will be her fourth girl, but Jaime is the youngest right now.

So they are all very excited.

So Madi was invited to the baby shower.

And it was my fault that it was last minute that we got the gift.

Madi wanted to make some cute onesies.

So we went to get white onesies and found some cute outfits on clearance.

But we also got the white ones, and when we got home she used freezer paper to make the designs.

So cute.

I think she had a lot of fun with it :)

At 3:00 I left for the stake baptism.

Cassi wanted to go with me.

It was a very nice baptism.

It was such a headache and mess getting it pulled together, but it all turned out beautiful in the end.

Came home and Dad was fixing the broken tile in our bathroom.

He really just can't relax.

He is doing really good, just not able to lift to heavy.

But he is getting there.

I took Madi to the baby shower and when I got home Elsie and Cassi wanted to swim.

They swam while I BBQ-ed dinner.

And Porter spent quite a while just building with his Legos.

We need to get him more.

I love watching how his mind works when he is working with them.

And he is very creative!

Dad was relaxing as he put a door in our bedroom.

A much needed door.

He took the door off the playroom and hung it down there.

It will be very nice to have that door :)

After we ate dinner, Elsie, Porter and Cassi wanted to get back in the pool.

They got in, and then Madi called for me to come and pick her up.

Dad watched the kiddos in the pool while I went and got Madi.

Got home, got the kids bathed and into bed.

Now I need to go iron.......
