Sunday July 21

Dad had to leave at 4:30 this morning.

He went in early to cover for a guy who had to leave to catch a flight.

But I think he was able to get a little nap once he got to the station....

Emmy went to church with us today.

She stayed in primary with me.

I had sharing time, and I don't think I did very well today....I didn't flow.

But hopefully the message was heard.

Anyway, Emmy sat with Elsie during junior primary and then sat by Cassi in senior primary.

And she got sung to both times :)

I went into Elsie's class for the last few minutes.

Her teacher asked if I would go in and spotlight Elsie because she just had her birthday.

And her teacher brought cookies.

Elsie was very excited about it all.

After church, we had lunch.

Then Emmy packed up all her stuff and was off.

We sure had fun with her here!

Elsie was sad to see her go.

We were lazy for the rest of the day until I had a stake primary meeting at 6:30.

It was a couple hours long and when I got back, Elsie was curled up on the floor with her Emmy blanket, close to tears.

Madi said she didn't know what was wrong and she wouldn't talk to anyone.

Well, after some talking, we figured that she was missing her Emmy.

So sad....but so very sweet.

I told her it was a good thing that her new Spooky Emmy blanket still smelled like Emmy, so she could cuddle up with it all night and dream of Emmy.

I also told her that when she wraps up in the blanket it's like getting a hug from Emmy.

She liked that and was a little bit happier.....but look at that bottom lip sticking out!

And now I am sitting here, late again, with Porter who won't go to sleep!

I feel like I could sleep for days!!!
