It was dads idea to do something fun today.

He says the kids work so hard all the time, they need to be kids too.

So we decided to take a trip to the $1 movie.

We went and saw 'The Croods'.

I think we all enjoyed it.

Everyone stayed in their seats....except Elsie.

Those seats just always seem to fold her up inside.

So she stood up a lot, or sat on the edge of the chair.

But it was fun, and a pretty cute show too.

After the movie we made a trip to Deseret Book.....

Then to McDonald's for some ice cream cones :)

They were all happy about that.

When we got home, Port took his nap.

Brent took Cassi and helped Drew move some people out of their house.

And I sorted and folded laundry and tried to clean up the pile of clothes in our room.

When dad got home, we headed outside to finish off a project.

Like i have said before....we seem to finish things to the point that they will work, and don't really FINISH them.

Well, the back of our barn was still not covered with our old fence siding....

And since we had enough and it was cut and ready to go, we decided to throw it up.

It didn't take long, maybe an hour and a half.

We took a break at dinner time, then headed back out.

But then we got a new friend.

My friend Jenni has a friend who moved and she can't keep their cat.

Jenni told her we were looking for a cat.....

So, this is Scooby.

He is quite a large cat, but very soft and very pretty.

I think he is a bit nervous and wondering what is going on.

When they brought him over all her kids were here, all my kids were around....

It was even a bit crazy for me with all the excitement!

So he is hanging out in our mud room tonight and we will slowly introduce him to everyone and then we will show him around the place.

I think he will be a good cat out here.

Madi sure misses Mittens.

I swear I see him every now and then when I go running and I tell her I bet he will come back.

Hope he does some day....
