We had to empty the pool out today.

It wasn't on a perfectly even surface, so neither of us liked how it was....so we stuck the pump in the pool and hooked it to sprinklers throughout the grass areas and got stuff watered.

It still took quite a long time.

But so glad we had another option than just the tiny little drain.

Anyway.....

The kids had fun with one of the hoses.

Being a fireman like daddy.

Dad took the tractor and dug up some dirt and leveled the surface.

Writing it makes it sound like it didn't take very long....but it took the whole day for us to finally start filling the pool again.

We ordered pizza then swam in the 2 feet of water for a little bit.

Watched a little 'Americas got Talent' and then off to bed.

It was a later night and an early morning.

I thought for sure Port would sleep in.

But sure enough, he was up at 6:30.

It wasn't super hot early today, so I went for my run a little later and got 7.5 miles!

Yay!!!

I have a few blisters on my toes that are hurting....I need to get new shoes!

But it felt good to push even further!

Anyway....gotta get some sleep.

 

 

Elsie is so cute with Mater.

She just loves the dog :)
