Wednesday June 5

We got up this morning and had another yummy breakfast.
We couldn't find our room key anywhere, so we just left the deadbolt out so the door wouldn't shut all the way.
Seemed to work okay.
Nothing got stolen :)
We came back to the room and loaded up what we needed for the night.
I didn't pack clothes for them to wear, instead I just packed our dirty clothes.
That way I could get them washed and they could just wear that.
Brilliant, right :)
So we headed out to Evanston about 11:00ish...
The drive went really good.
The kids were all good.
When we got to Grandmas, she suggested we go and get some lunch and stop by and see the Buffalos.
That was exactly what Elsie wanted to do :)
So we loaded up again and went to Arby's then headed to the Buffalos.
Lots more babies to see.
After stopping to say 'hi' to Gramps at the store, we had some ice cream.
Then we got back home and I called Nancy to see if we could get the big girls together.
So I drove the big girls to her house.
Lauren was there, but Heather had basketball camp until 6:30.
Megan was there with her new little baby, Haisley.
She is so sweet and the spitting image of her big sister, Miley.
Cuties!
Grandma wanted me to leave Elsie and Porter behind, so I tried to be as fast as I could.
Elsie just watched TV the whole time and Port and Grandma made themselves a farm.
Grandma has these tiny little animals that were her little brothers favorite toys.
And he died as a child, so they are very special to her.
She helped him make a Little pen and grass for the rabbits.
A little lake for the geese, along with an aluminum foil boat.
She made some mud out of some flour and water and some food coloring for the pig.
And then the corral for the cows was made out of play doe and toothpicks.
Let me tell you, he just thought it was the coolest thing ever!
He was a perfect angel for her.
He also told her that he is a boy, so he knows everything.
Oh, that kid.....
Then we just played.
We saw Dads class on the 5:00 news.
We didn't get to see him, but he did say that there were cameras in his face for about an hour.
Maybe they used that footage for the 10:00 news.
But it was pretty cool to hear them talk about what he is doing on the news :)
Proud of him.
Then Lexi came over for a little bit.
Then Uncle Doug brought over the little 4-wheeler they just got.
Port was in heaven, and he says he wants one.
Ya, we will see about that.
Maybe if we hadn't just spent $2500 on the car........
I got the little kids to bed early, like 7:30.
The big girls didn't get home until about 9.
They had a fun time.
We checked out the baby goats and the new baby kitties in the barn.
Fun animal babies everywhere :)
Now Port is awake....wonder if I can get him back to sleep soon.
I am tired.....
And there is more driving tomorrow :)

Sounds like a good day!

I was looking for Brent on the 10:00 news during the Task Force One story, but I didn't see him. :(
