We got up and went running again today.
Same as yesterday, Madi 2, Cassi 1 1/2 and I rounded mine out as a 4.5 total.
I think two days in a row was a little harder for them.
We will see what they are up to tomorrow....if they want to do it or not.
After that, we all got showered and headed to the store.
We had a list of things the Madi needs for girls camp...and I thought we could get most of them at Target...but I was wrong.
And we ran out of time to go to Walmart too, which I should have gone to first....but I like Target better for clothes and Madi needed some long shorts (which we didn't find...)
Then we stopped by Deseret Book to buy Madi a new journal, cause she filled her other one up.
Well, this particular Deseret Book is going out of business.
So the selection was terrible.
We found one that matches Madi's other journal, but it was a return, with someones name on it.
But it said 90% off....so that would make it a $1.
And we could cover up the name.
Well, since the store is closing, they have a lot of sales.
So the journal rang up as 50% off.
(First of all I should say, we had waited in line for a LONG time because this checker man is very old and VERY slow....but super nice. :)
Anyway....it took him a while to figure out why it rang up as $4.99 instead of $9.99.
He finally figured out that it was 50% off, and so he decided that we should just take 40% off the remainder to make a total of 90%.
So he got $3.17 for the $1 journal because he was taking so much time and I needed to get home.
Dang it.
Oh well....
So the reason I need to get home is because I needed to feed the kids, get Port down for his nap and get Elsie to PT by 1:00.
We got to PT and Katie had invited Desh, she is the one who made Elsie's foot braces a few years ago.
Katie wanted Desh to watch how Elsie walks and how her knees are hyper extending....
Not good for her knees.
Desh watched her.
It took her a little while to think about what to do.
She couldn't tell if it was coming from her feet, her knees or her hips.
She decided to start with the knees.
So in two weeks we should be getting some braces for her knees that will not allow for hyper extension.
We will just try them out in PT for a few weeks and see if they are gonna work.
Desh says they are pretty bulky, and we don't want to do anything that is gonna set her back.
So we will see how it goes.
We want to try and prevent any damage to her knees or hips in the future.
We got home to find Madi and Cassi playing HAPPILY outside on the tramp.
It was a nice site :)
Then I started mowing the lawn.
The riding lawnmower is broken, so I had to push it.
I decided it might be fun to see what the distance would be mowing that way...
I did about half of all the grass and it was a total of 3 miles!
Wowza!
I am not sure why the lines are so squiggly.
I am guessing it was taking the full bags back and forth to the trailer on the 4-wheeler.
Kind of funny :)
Then daddy came home.
The big girls cooked dinner while I finished up mowing and Dad worked on irrigation.
Then we wound down the night with a little Americas Got Talent :)
Busy day.....can't wait for it to calm down.
Maybe next week.
