Monday June 10

We spent the morning cleaning up.
The little kids helped me do our massive pile of dishes.
The dishwasher is out of commission....we have the part, just not the dad to install it :)
Anyway, we kinda let it stack up....whoops.
After the dishes, Madi and I went and ran a mile and a half together.....then I ran a half mile....then Cassi joined me for another mile.
Cass surprised me.
She kept up the whole time and ran the whole time too.
I think they both had a fun time doing it and I look forward to doing it a couple times a week with them.
Then after that, we did more cleaning.
I should have taken a before and after picture of the play room.
Madi cleaned that up and did an amazing job.
And maybe since she put so much work into it, she won't allow the little ones to mess it up again....maybe :)
Cass and I cleaned out the car while Madi cleaned the playroom.
It was bad from this trip!
So it was good to give it a deep cleaning.
BUT....
The battery died!
I put a battery charger on it for several hours thinking it would work.
But it didn't do a thing.
Good thing dad's truck is here.
I used that to jump the Tahoe later tonight after I realized it wasn't charging....
I didn't want to drive the truck in the dark to go pick up dad.....I am kinda a baby.
*****
We went swimming at the Youngs house around 4:00.
The kids have been dieing to get over and swim with them!
We had pizza and had a little FHE.
Port and Cassi just used their talks from yesterday about the Holy Ghost.
Not sure all the kids were listening, since they were all playing in the pool :)
Anyway, it was a fun time and we look forward to playing with them all summer long!
Port has been talking about going off the diving board.
But then he changed his mind.....then decided to try it.
Once he did it, he wouldn't stop.
He loved it.
I think Dads gonna be able to teach that boy to swim this year.
He kept dunking his head in the water and seeing how long he could hold his breath.
He was such a stinker though.
I tried to tell him that the more air he breathed in before he went under the water, the longer he could.
But every time, I was mid sentence and he would dunk under water.
He is one stubborn kid.
Think he knows everything without having to be told.
Must be a boy thing :)
*****
I am waiting right now to hear from Dad to come and pick him up from the Fire Station.....
I am excited to have him home.
I have really missed him.
There is a difference in going two days with him only 20 min away.....but 2 days when he is 5 hours away...I don't like that.
