Holy smokes!
It's been a jam-packed day!!!
I took over 120 pictures today.....if that proves anything :)
It started first thing with Cassi's play she has been working on with her Drama club over the last few months.
She did awesome.
It was so cute....it was a lot of Shel Silverstein poems.
She was very expressive and said all her lines perfectly....
She had the entire play memorized.
She has a gift for memorization for sure!
I took the girls to school and Dad came 15 min later with Porter....
And Porter had decided he wanted to dress nice for Cassi's play.
So Dad tied his tie for him and he stuck his calculator into his pocket.
Cute boy :)
*****
Elsie Rose got her new lenses today.
When she put them on her eyes scanned all around and she smiles really big and said "I can see!"
He eyes have improved quite a bit.
She has been looking over her glasses for a little while....and then back to the glasses and then over again, trying to get the best focus.
So I am glad that we finally have the right prescription for her.
She is pretty happy too!
We kept the same lenses.....cause they still fit and they are still in good shape.
Plus it is hard to find glasses to fit her little head, but also be big enough around her eyes.....cause they are big beautiful eyes on a tiny little head :)
*****
Port and Dad got a lot of work done today.
I am sure dad wishes he got more done.....he always does :)
But they stuck together up until Porter had to take his nap.
I love watching them together.
They are a good team.....even if sometimes the boy is just 'learning'.
*****
Dad was asked to help with the track meet with timing kids.
So it was me and the little ones at the track meet.
they weren't too bad.
It was pretty warm...but with a nice little wind.
Once Madi did the Hurdles and Sprint and Relay, we headed over to the volleyball court again for the kids to play in the sand while I went and watched Madi with shot-put.
Cassi and her friend Avery watched the kiddos for me....but I wasn't very far away.
Madi did a good job.
This was her last meet.
The next one is districts and they only take the top 10 for that.
She had a fun season.
I am very proud of her.
She says she wants to stay running so she can get ready for cross country next year.
She is a good kiddo.
This was towards the end...Port was ready to go home.
We all were.
I feel like I look really old in this picture....but Moms gotta be on the blog sometimes too :)
*****
When we got home, we still had daylight....
So the boys were back to work.
Well, for a little bit.
Before the boy side-tracked Dad.....
Port wants to be a fireman/cowboy.
He told Dad he needs a cowboy gun.
Sooo......Dad made him a 1863 colt army.
Of course.
Silly boys.
Now he says all he needs to be a cowboy is a lasso, a hat, and a horse :)
The fireman part of that will come when he is old enough to work with Dad......
*****
Then it was back to work, cause there was still daylight :)
Dad took some dents out of some more pipe and then Port helped dad haul in up front.
Good work boys!
