My quest to a cleaner house started with under the couch cushions today.

Porter was happy to help me out.

We got two couches done before he realized the fun you could have with the suction of the vacuum :)

It was funny to watch him.

Goofy boy.

And then when we were done, he was ready to take a break in all the cushions with his DS.

I puttered around the rest of the day, but didn't get anything huge done.

I had to go out and drive in the snow quite a few times today....which I really don't like!

Porter wraps presents for his dad all the time.

I think it is the cutest thing!

He can't wait for dad to come get these gems tomorrow morning :)

Such a sweet boy, he gives Dad his very best toys!

Madi went to her friend, Jamie's, house after school today.

I told her yesterday to call me when she got to her house.

I didn't hear anything from her and I was worried...when I finally went to pick her up she told me that Jamie's phone had died.

When I picked her up it was mixed of being happy everything was okay and mad that she didn't call.

We talked for a long while..... 

She forgot to call....and could have used Jamie's moms phone.

I should have been better, and gotten the phone number of Jamie's mom...

I had Jamie's number and I didn't even think about not being able to get a hold of them that way.

 I don;t want to get Madi a phone.....

But maybe we could get a prepaid kind of phone for times like these.

I mean she is only getting older, and going and doing things with friends is part of growing up....

I just always want to know where she is.

I guess we live and learn something each day.
