Wednesday November 7

Happy 9th birthday to our sweet Cassi.
She has been talking about this day for a really long time.
I hope it lived up to her expectations.
She told me last night she wanted breakfast in bed...so I said no problem.
Except that she got up at 5:30 this morning with Elsie.
I told her she should try to go back to sleep....so she wouldn't be grumpy.
But she was too pumped up and excited.
It sure made for a LONG morning for Daddy to get hoe so she could open presents :)
He got home with about 10 minutes to go before Madi had to leave, so that gave us good present time.
She made a good haul, thanks mostly to Aunt Emmy :)
We spent the rest of the morning listening to Taylor Swift and getting ready for school.
I talked to Cassi's teacher about bringing a treat to her class and he said to bring it around 3.
So when Madi got home from school, I took her and Elsie to Cassi's class and took her guitar cupcakes to share.
They turned out pretty fun.
Pretty easy too.
She was happy with them.
She wanted to ride the bus home cause the bus driver said they would sing to her :)
So VERY different from Madi, who would rather no one know it was her birthday.
She loves the attention.
We had Dads famous ribs, dubbed Big Daddy's Ribs for dinner.
One of Cassi's favorites.
Every one's favorite!
It was a good day.
I spent so much time making cupcakes for her class, that I didn't make a cake.
Whoops.
BUT.....we had extra cupcakes, so we bunched them together, put candles in there and wal-la :)
Happy Birthday sweet Cassi.
I know that things have been a bit of a struggle with her recently....but we are working it out.
She is so great and so much fun.
We love her so much and she is such a blessing in our family.

Another fun thing today....
Dad started painting the shop today.
Barn red.
It looks so good!
Very exciting!
