We had a beautiful morning this morning.
We took the big girls to attend the Boise temple re dedication.
Dad was able to get a few hours off from work so we could all go together.
And Emmy was here to watch the little ones for us.
It was just beautiful and I am so thankful to be a part of it.
Like Dad said when we left "We needed this."
The amazing spirit we felt.
The wonderful words that were spoken.
It was all so perfect.
Cassi did have a hard time holding still, since we were there for 30 min. before it started (like you are supposed to.)
But I am grateful for the patience I had with her.
Normally it would probably not have been that way.
But it was such a special day, I DID NOT want her memory from the day to be Mom getting mad at her for fidgeting.
She was good and I loved to hear her sing once we all joined in singing "The Spirit of God".
I actually couldn't sing for a long time.
The spirit was so strong, my heart was so full, and I was so happy.
I know that conference is the same, as in everyone singing all the same song at the same time....
But something just really hit me right then, all the stake centers taking part in the dedication, the many many people sitting there, feeling the same thing, singing the same beautiful song.
The choir sang the song that was sung at the Nauvoo temple dedication, and we joined in with singing 'The Spirit of God', which was sung at the Salt Lake Temple dedication.
The thought of bringing a piece from those times, along with the Hosanna shout.....it was just amazing.
And for the prophet to be right here, in our city, where we live.
His sweet face just makes me smile.
I am thankful we got to be a part of the dedication ceremony.
And I am so happy that we were able to take Madi and Cassi with us, and so Thankful that Brent was able to take a few hours off the take us.
We talked all about baptisms for the dead and how amazing the temple is on the way home.
They are very excited for the opportunity to take part in the work.
It was beautiful.
*****
The rest of the day, we just wore Emmy out.
Well, mostly Elsie did it.
We just hung out....took some naps, and played a lot of 'Tag, your it', as Elsie likes to say.
We also made ourselves a lot of snowflakes to decorate the place.
That kept everyone busy and happy for quite a long time.

How amazing to be able to go to the temple dedication! For some reason singing 'The Spirit of God' at the dedications always gets me as well. It is such a neat experience.
What an awesome experience!
