Thursday September 6

Today could not have been any worse.
Okay, it could have....but it was a pretty rough one.
So I am gonna complain for a little bit. sorry.
I was up early again....which I am loving.
I love having my workout done and showered before anyone wakes up.....but I am so tired!!!!
But tiredness ends up making things seem worse when they don't have to be.
It was picture day today for Cassi and Elsie, so we were running a little late getting things all ready.
As we are getting ready to leave, Elsie told me she had to go to the bathroom.
Great idea.
We always have to go potty before school, cause she won't go there without me.
So she went to the bathroom and I got the others into the car.
I came back in and she had still not gone....so I told her to hurry.
Today was kind of an overcast day.
Elsie is very vulnerable to weather, and she was really tight today.
I think that made things harder for her to go to the bathroom....and then me stressing her out, telling her to hurry up.....not good.
A half hour later, we were still waiting.
Yep, we were late for school.
Yep, I was stressing Elsie out.
I am embarrassed to say, but I was almost in tears.
I know that sounds dumb, but I just didn't know what to do.
I knew it would be a terrible day if she didn't go to the bathroom.
But Cassi shouldn't have to be this late!
So I grabbed Elsie off the toilet, and made it sound like it would be fun to try at school :)
I got the kids signed in and Cassi off to class, just in time for ehr class to go get pictures taken...
Then Elsie, Porter and I went to the bathroom.
Oh, I forgot to say that Porter was being terrible through all of this, but keep in mind....I am very tired, so it is harder to deal with regular life....
Anyway....we sat in the bathroom for another 15 min.....nothing.
Finally I decided we needed to get into the classroom so they knew she was here, and we would try the potty they have in the classroom.
We headed in there, got Elsies stuff hung up and took her to the bathroom.
After another 15 minutes, she finally went...(with the help of Porter making her laugh.)
That is a full hour trying to go to the bathroom!!!
AHHH!
So we left her at school and all was good.
I came home and had so many plans to get done.
I did get stuff done, but not half as much as I wanted, and what I did get done, seemed to go wrong over and over again.
I went to pick up Elsie after school and I decided to cancel her PT appointment.
She was just so tight and tired.
I know....you would think that She should go when she is tight.
But I have learned that when she is like that, she refuses to do anything.
So I canceled.
Porter went down for a nap and I worked on a little project that I am trying to get done for a while....and again, it just couldn't go right.
You can't win.
I decided I needed a 20 min. nap.
Elsie watched Caliou for a little bit while I shut my eyes.
After that I was a little better.
But then it was time to wake Porter up and go pick Cassi up early from school so we could drive to Eagle Middle School for Madi's cross country meet.
I packed a huge bag full of treats and drinks, in hopes that would make for great kids.
I was very wrong.
First of all, we waited a half hour for the third school to show up.
It was Lake Hazel, Eagle and Meridian Middle schools all together.
But all three kids were tired and fussy and grumpy....oh, and so was I.
Which did not help things.
At all.
We saw Madi....she came to us and she was excited to get it all done.
She wasn't grumpy.
So that was good :)
We finally got things started and off she went.
She got a better time then last week, which was her goal.
She even had a pulled hip flexor.
But she looked great and had fun.
I am so proud of her.
She has grown so much over these last few weeks.
She has blossomed.
She has always been a great kid....but she has seemed to loosen up.
She is witty, happy, helpful....
I mean she was always those things, but it is all on a much bigger scale now.
She is breaking out of her shell too.
Things don't make her nervous like they used to.
I am just so proud of her.
I enjoy being around her and watching her become this great young woman :)
Her good mood helped calm things down for our little crew after the race.
Then we got home, i hurried and made some eggs for them and then had to head to 'Back to school night' for Elsie and Cassi.
Madi babysat, and she did a great job.
The house even looked a little better then when I left it.
But I did leave it in pretty bad shape.......
Anyway....here's hoping it is a way better day tomorrow.
I have nothing planned, so that should help :)
But I am gonna go to bed now to help with that tired thing.......
