Friday July 20

 We had a fun day today.

We went swimming earlier on with Jenni and her girls.

Then we got home and ate dinner and went to visit Dad at the fire station.

Elsie was very excited about riding in the fire truck with Dad.

She has been talking about riding with Dad for quite a while now......

Well, she changed her mind....but she did have fun playing with it.

She is just really nervous with that loud rumble of the truck ....maybe next year :)

The kids had a lot of fun.

We started out by opening up her presents from her siblings and mom and dad.

This girl is so much fun to watch when she opens presents.

She really LOVES everything!

Elsie asked for one thing only.

She wanted a buffalo that talks.

S I found a  voice recorder from build-a-bear and made this little buffalo.

(I learned a few things to do different with the next buffalo I make ;)

But she loves it so much.

And that was what I was going for!

We were in the classroom at the station while opening presents....

The kids saw the CPR dummies and they all thought it would be cool to have a little CPR training.

It was a lot of fun for all of them.

She's calling 9-1-1

Port's turn to be on 9-1-1 duty....while rescuing the baby of course :)

Then we headed out to the fire trucks and engines.

The kids again had a blast.

They always do.

Then back up to the kitchen to share our Buffalo cookies with the rest of the guys.

Elsie thought it was pretty cool to have Buffalo cookies :)

Dad was pretty excited to see this little white Buffalo in the newspaper this morning.

He couldn't wait to show Elsie.

She loved the little guy....kinda fun :)

Then Dad had dispatch run a test alarm and they all ran out and pretended they went on a call.

Elsie's ears were covered....so she was good with it.

They got into their places and made a pretend run.

Porter was loving being a hose man :)

Looks like a pro to me!

It was a fun time for everyone.
