First of all we wanted to say
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
to Emmy today.
We wish we could be there with you....but we will be there in a few short weeks.
You are the most kind, loving, selfless, talented, and just plain wonderful person.
We love you so much and we are so glad that you play such a big role in our lives.
You are the best and you deserve the best.
Love you!

Tonight we were invited over to the Youngs' house for dinner.
We always have fun with them.
But tonight was pretty cool cause we got to see the solar eclipse together.
We used several different methods.
First, we punched a hole through a piece of paper.
That was cool and worked pretty good.
Then we found 3 sunglasses that we bunched together and looked through all of them at the same time.
That was really cool.
(Hope we didn't ruin our eyes.....they didn't feel ruined....)
Then one of the Youngs' neighbors made a cardboard box kind of camera thing where it reflected it through tin foil.
That was very cool too.
Then we left for home and when we got home we grabbed Dads welding mask, and luckily the eclipse was still happening.
The kids thought that was pretty cool.
What a fun night.
Elsie was glued to Heathers side pretty much the entire night.
She just loves Heather :)
Pat and Steve were there for dinner as well.
They recently got more bunnies.....and Steve was convinced by Hallie that he needed to bring them with him to dinner.
The kids had a lot of fun mauling the poor little guys.
Eclipse through paper.
Three sunglasses.
Aiming the camera in the general direction and shooting.
Not bad.
More glasses.
Welding mask.....it was fun and it turned the sun green.

Such cool eclipse pictures!!
We went to Brads brothers house and all had fun looking at the eclipse too. That picture you took of it is awesome. We tried it with our cameras and it didn't work. We made some pinhole boxes with cereal boxes, and it worked. The welding mask is a good idea.
Thanks for coming over.. it is always fun to spend time with your family. And seeing the eclipse was cool!
happy birthday Emily!
