Today felt like another run-around kind of day.
Non-stop.
Port had his first speech therapy appointment today at the school.
As soon as we got there....there was a fire drill.
I think Port was a little confused about what was going on.
Luckily I hadn't put Port in class yet, cause I am not sure what he would have thought about the loud bells and the strangers taking him out of the building....
But since I was there, he thought it was pretty cool.
After that I ran to a neighbors house and dug up a bunch of her raspberry starts.
I am super excited to have raspberries and hope that I don't kill them off :)
As soon as I got those, I had to run off to pick up Elsie from school.
Ran a few errands after that, then came home and fed the kids.
Put Port in bed and then started digging holes for the raspberries.
But I underestimated how easy the holes would be to dig.
We decided to line the whole front of the retaining wall with them.
It is gonna be great!
BUT.....that dirt right there is so very rocky and it took the entire rest of the day to dig all the wholes!
I broke many large rocks in half.
I swear in each spot that I chose to put a plant, there was a huge cobblestone waiting right in that spot.
I got all but 3 holes dug.
I will let them sit over night with water and see if I can get down there tomorrow.
After school, the girls brought home their friends.....our new neighbors.
It will be nice to have younger friends so close by.
They had fun playing out side....while I dug the rocks.
I am loving how everything is looking....alive.
The blooms are so much fun.
So far I think we are seeing life on most everything out here....so that is exciting.
