Tuesday April 10

I told the kids they didn't have to get right up and go to school...cause we got to bed so late last night.
But Madi DID NOT want to arrive late to school.
So Madi got up and got ready, and I took her to school.
Cassi was still asleep.
I decided to keep Elsie home, to give her a day to recover :)
When Cass woke up, she got all ready and I took her when I took Port for speech therapy.
So it worked out.
Here at home we did a lot of stuff.
Dad ran to the store with Elsie to get some stuff for the tractor.
When I opened the car door to get her out when they got home, I saw a beaming little Elsie holding with both hands onto a little box full of baby chicks!
Yep, they showed up with 12 new little chicks.
Very exciting!
Elsie has names for all of them....we just can't tell who is who.
She is one happy little girl.
Dad unloaded the trailer....with some help from me.
He tried out his new/old plow and was very excited about that.
Then he set to moving some dirt around to level out the 'backyard' area.
It is looking great.
Then he borrowed a spring tooth to put on his tractor and break up all the dirt to loosen it up and level it out.
It is looking so great and it will look even better when we have some nice green grass.
Dad even broke up the ground for me and the girls to get started on our garden...
Elsie and Porter had a great time running around with each other this afternoon.
Port was very cute and grabbed her hand while they walked around in the tall grass.
Little Elsie was worn out.
The heat zapped it out of her for sure!
It was such a beautiful day.
The big girls went to their friends house after school and didn't get home until after 8.
They had a fun time.
But then it was homework time....and so it made for another late night!
Port and Elsie watched a little TV while I got some dinner ready.
Port said it was 'like a movie fee-a-ter'.
Elsie look sat him and starts playing speech therapist with him (Joanne came today too for Elsie's speech therapy).
She looked at Porter and said 'Ffffffffffee-a-ter'....emphasizing the F sound.
It was pretty funny.
I told her that it was actually a 'TH' sound....but those are still sounds that both of them have yet to work on....
It was just so cute how she was 'teaching' him.....even though it was wrong :)
