Friday February 10

I have said it before....and I will say it a million times.
This boy cracks me up.
I caught him sitting on 'Dads chair' having a conversation with these two little guys.
It was pretty cute.
Just wish I could understand all that he was saying....cause I am sure it would be even more funny :)
*****
A couple weeks ago Elsie's Speech Therapist suggested we get Porter evaluated for his speech.
So today was the day.
Porter was so excited to go to 'school' like the girls.
He even made sure to pack himself a treat for the day.
(Even though we were only scheduled for an hour and a half :)
We headed to Frontier school for the evaluation.
It took me forever to get there cause of construction on Cloverdale.....but we did finally make it.
Port went right in and they took him away.
He was such a big boy.
They had several different stations for him to go to and different people helping to evaluate him.
I ran into Cassi's kindergarten teacher while Elsie and I were waiting.
She was having her little boy evaluated too.
It was nice to have someone to talk to while we waited.
While Port was away.....Miss Jennie (Elsie's preschool teacher) came running out from the doors.
She came and hugged Elsie who she lovingly calls her "Elsironi".
She said she just did her evaluation on Porter and had to come out and say hi to Elsie.
So that was a fun surprise for Els.
When he was all done, they came and got me and shared the results with me.
He does, indeed, qualify for speech therapy through the school.
Now we just wait for our home school, Mary Mac, to call and schedule with them another meeting.
It will be a good thing...even though I will miss his gibberish talk :)
Gosh this boy is cute.

*****
Madi had jumping practice today.
I went and picked up a very sweaty Madi (poor kid gets her sweaty-ness from me.....but I got it from my Grandma and she had AMAZINGLY soft skin....so I am hoping for that to happen for us too :)
Anyway...Madi was so beyond excited!
She upped her backwards jumping from 78 to 96....she was just bouncing off the walls cause she was so excited.
Both dad and I are happy for her to see that hard work and practice really do pay off.
Awesome job Madi Bell!!!
You rock!!!
*****
Cassi has worked through her entire song....
She is doing so good.....
She just needs to work on moving from chord to chord faster.
I am proud of her.
And so amazed how she has come up with all this....for it to go from a thought to paper to actual music.
Amazing.
*****
I was a little more productive today.
Didn't get the sewing machine out....but a lot of other stuff got done.
Madi and I cleaned the car out together....wow, that was a messy place.
It is bad when the girls get in and out for school and have to pick up the stuff that falls out along with them......
Embarrassing.....oh well.
That's life.
Hoping for an early to bed tonight and maybe a good nights sleep and just maybe he even better tomorrow :)
