It was a wonderful day.
And, even better......my hubby humored me and allowed me to take some pictures.
Actually Madi Bell shot them for us.
I just think it will be fun to have yearly pictures posted up at our 50 year wedding anniversary.
How great will that be?
*****
We worked outside most the day.
Dad cut some more wood.
The girls stacked up almost another cord.
And we (mostly Dad) chopped up some wood for our little stove.
And we started looking around the place for junk or good wood.
Actually, Dad found enough good wood down at the bottom of the lot to make the deck that I want to do.
I am excited about that.
I am all for getting things for a good deal :)
Now we just need to find a sliding glass or french door to replace the window that I want to take out.
It will be perfect.
We also had a big bon-fire to burn some useless wood.
The girls were all very helpful, too.
*****
Then it was time to celebrate.
The Young's gave us some movies tickets along with the babysitting for Christmas.
We thought this would be the perfect time to use them :)
We dropped the girls off at the Young's house and headed for dinner.
We wanted to try 'Cool Hand Lukes'.
But when we got there....we found out it is closed.
So we decided to try 'Bardenay'.
It was so good!
Then we headed to the movie 'Sherlock Holmes'.
It was a really great movie and so much fun to be able to cuddle together and watch it :)
Then we were off to pick up the kiddos.
And it sounds like they were all on good behavior, so that makes me happy too.
We got home and got the littles to bed and now we are enjoying some yummy chocolate covered strawberry's.
It was a great day....and I am so lucky to be married to such an amazing man.
And that we have such a great life and wonderful kids.
If you can't tell, I am pretty happy with life.
(Cheesy...I know.....but cute, right?)
