Sunday July 10

A couple funny stories for the day.
*****
Brent and Port laid down this morning to try and get Port to take a nap before church.
Brent said that Porter had a backhoe he was playing with and he kept throwing it.
Dad said "If you don't stop throwing that car, I am gonna take it away and it won't be yours anymore!"
Port looked at Dad with the most disgusted look on his face and said "It's a BACKHOE!"
And then threw it again.
In all fairness, he didn't throw the 'car', did he?
Oh he is a little turkey.
But he finally did go to sleep, and Dad got to make up on some sleep lost over the last shift he worked.
*****
Brent tucked Madi in to bed tonight, and he talked about how tomorrow we are gonna work really hard on being nice.
Things are gonna be different, starting with attitude.
(We are kinda having some issues with Madi lately with more attitude stuff....)
Madi looks at Dad and says "It was just that one time, it usually doesn't bother me!"
Dad looks at her very confused....
He has no idea what she was talking about.
So he asks "What do you mean?"
And she says "Didn't you say Mad at Toots?"
He again says "WHAT?"
She said "Are you talking about that one time that Cassi farted and I got mad at her?"
Then it clicks attitude = mad-at-toots.....
Oh man....now that is funny!
*****
It was kind of an exhausting day.
Brent and I subbed in Porters nursery today.
Wow.
Exhausting.
After church we had a nice dinner outside and just hung out.
I love days like that, when we just get to be together as a family.
I am sure there will be alot more fun this week to come.
Now we just need to get some good sleep!

What a little stinker! :) Did he get his BACKHOE taken away...since he obviously knew what Brent was talking about????

Madi's story is so funny! I can only imagine the thought process through both their heads to figure out what the other was talking about!
