Monday July 4th!!!

Happy 4th of July!!!!!

We had a fun packed day.....
It started out with the girls having a drink stand in the front yard.

With their own moving sign :)

Elsie likes to pretend she has broken some kind of bone.
Today it was her arm.
And she used this lunchbox as her cats.
That girl has some imagination!
*****
Later on in the day we headed to the park for some 4th of July fun!
They had all kinds of free activities for the kids to do.
We packed a dinner and had a picnic on the grass.

The little ones enjoyed picking clovers for a little bit.
Look at the difference in their head sizes!

Lots of bouncy house fun to be had.
Port was a hard one to keep an eye on, he wanted to bolt everywhere!

Elsie Rose spent her time practicing her stairs.
She did so awesome, and worked up quite a sweat too!
The space between the handle bars was just perfect and she could go up and down very good.

Then there was the rock climbing wall.
They had so much fun on that.Cass didn't have to wait for very long, and she shot right up.
She is a little monkey.

While I waited with Madi in line, Brent took the other kids to walk around.

Finally it was Madi's turn.
She did very well, but her fear of heights did come into play.
She wanted down, but she stayed up there and finished it up.
We were proud of her for sticking to it.

Then we got some Snow cones for the kiddos.
Our favorite summer treat!

We went out to the big Field and waited for it to get darker.
The kids played and played and had a lot of fun.
There was a small accident that Elsie had from laughing so hard....we had Ports swimming suit in the car, so we put Ports pants on Elsie and then put the swimming shorts on Port.
It worked out :)

Daddy took some pictures while I played with the kiddos.
Lots of fun!

Dad, watching horse videos with the kiddos on his phone.
*****
It was finally time for the fireworks to start.
They started with fireworks at the speedway.
Elsie was loving them.
Then, they started the real firework show over to the left of where we were watching, and it caught her off guard.
She cried and cried and spent the rest of the time huddled under her blanket snuggled close into me.
Poor girl.
But we did have a really fun day celebrating the 4th of July!
