Tuesday June 14

Wow.
Another tiring day.
But it was great!
We left our sweet little home away from home after we gathered all our belongings, and stuffed them into the car.
We still wanted to do some stuff in Jackson Hole, but we didn't want to have to be back by 12:00 by check-out....so we just packed it up.

It was a sweet little cabin....that was very little, but did the job for us.
We will definitely be staying with the Cowboy Village again!

Our next adventure was to the Alpine slides at the ski resort there in Jackson.
We were all excited to try it out.
I think Madi was a little nervous about the ride in the ski lift, with Cassi instead of Mom or Dad.
But she did great.
Everyone loved it and there was no nervousness....(okay, I was a little nervous.....but I was the one with Porter, and that kid moves a lot.)

We didn't spring for the way over priced picture they take of you at the ski lift.....but I did have a fellow tourist take a picture of our cute family at the top of the mountain.
Too bad I forgot to tell him to focus on us.
Oh well....still cute, right?

Madi and Cassi went first.
Then Brent and Porter and Elsie and I.
Brent did some video of the slides...I will have to try and post some of those later.

I am actually pretty in LOVE with this picture.
Love those kiddos of ours.
Going on the Alpine Slides was a great idea, thanks Dad!
Everyone loved it....but we all agreed that for the price you pay you should at least get to go down twice!!!
************
Then it was time to start some souvenir shopping.
We went to a bunch of cute little shops.
The girls wanted to go with Dad into a VERY expensive shop with fossils, geology stuff, and museum type stuff.
The girls got to hold a T-Rex claw which was for sale st the bargain price of $35, 000.
They thought it was pretty cool.

But we didn't want to take the boy into that shop, so I took him into a candy shop and we picked out some candy that would take him some time to eat up....and we sat and waited for the rest of the bunch.
I think it worked out pretty well.
*******
Then we headed for Home.
The drive was pretty good.
Everyone did well.
We stopped by the cheese factory in Afton Wyoming and they all thought that was pretty good.
********
Then we got to Grandma and Grandpas house around dinner time.

We had some yummy home-made chicken noodle soup that Grandma made for us.
Then it was time to play with Strip!
Can you feel the excitement?
I wanted a picture of her hugging Strips nose....she did that yesterday and it was just the cutest thing ever!
Well, I think she was a little WAY too excited

The big girls were doing so good with their riding.
Dad hopped on with Elsie to give her a few riding lessons.
She caught on right away and had so much fun steering Strip in the direction that she wanted her to go.

She was a quick little learner and will be a PRO in no time at all!

And Strip deserved a nice treat, of course.
She is such a great horse!

Port wasn't in a 'Strip riding' kind of mood tonight.
He did get to do a little bit of 4-wheeling.
Guess that was good enough for him.

It was a beautiful night.
We hung outside with Grandma and Gramps, and had a really nice time.
You can tell that the kids had a lot to tell them!!!
We sure love it here!
******
We had a great trip in Yellowstone and Jackson Hole.
Can't wait to make it a tradition!
