I LOVE how much Elsie has learned in school. I can't even tell you how much she has grown and how much she has learned in the last few weeks.
She comes home so excited, and doesn't stop talking.
Her bus driver tells me that she jabbers the whole way home.
Her bus driver tells me that she jabbers the whole way home.
Today while I was making her lunch she was rolling her hands...and it took me a minute to figure out what she was saying along with it.
She was rolling her hands slowly and saying 'slow' then she would hurry and roll them fast while saying 'fast'.
I should have video taped it, because she does it so cute, with her sweet little voice.
After she ate we practiced it with her walking.
She took slow steps while saying slow, then fast steps while saying fast...again, I should have it on video.
Her teachers at school send home a little notebook telling me a little of what she did that day, and what snacks she had, if she saw one of the therapists, etc.
It has helped so much to bridge that communication gap that we have been struggling with.
Now, I can ask her what she had for a snack, and since I have the note from her teacher, I know what she had, so I can figure out what words she uses for the snacks she had that day.
I don't know if that even makes sense...
But I am just thankful that we are starting to understand her better.
She also hardly ever uses her walker in the home.
Actually, Porter has taken quite a liking to it...silly boy.
Elsie is becoming so strong and so confident.
She is one remarkable little girl and we are so blessed to have her in our family.
I am so thankful for all the resources she has received to help her reach this point.
I just can't wait to see what the future hold for our little Elsie Rose!

Yay for Elsie! Her preschool sounds amazing! They really know how important the home-school connection is to their students. I would love to sit in and observe her class to see what they do, how they respond to behavioral problems, everything they do! PLEASE keep us update.
I am so glad you live where you have that blessing. I'm sure God had that all arranged before hand:)
