Thursday October 20 (add more pictures from phone)

So today we have been preparing for our visitors!

I also had to go to the dentist and to patent/teacher conferences for Elsie and Porter.

But Aunt Sandra, Uncle Doug and Dussy Boy got here a little after 3:00.

We all went to dinner together at Red Robin.

Then they all went to the game and Elsie and I went to the store to buy treats!

Yum!

The Morgans came over for a little bit to watch the game.

Now I am trying to get Elsie to bed.....but she is way over-tired.......

It is gonna be a late night for the others!

It was only half time at 10:30.

I am hoping Elsie and I will be fast asleep soon.......

Wednesday October 19

Another youth activity under my belt!

The beehives were in charge of the Harvest party....we usually go to the pumpkin patch, but it has become quite expensive in the last few years, so that got nixed!

There are SO MANY youth that it is impossible to have an activity together without breaking up into groups.

So we had 4 different activities.

Donut eating with no hands.

Pumpkin volleyball (with an orange beach ball)

Pumpkin decorating

Scary stories by the fire

Some worked out well and were super fun, some not so much.

But I think overall it was a fun activity.

Hopefully.

We had it here at our house and I think that worked out good too.

Madi had a bad night, so she didn't go to school this morning.

Which kind of stinks because it was the PSAT :(

But it would really stink to go and throw up there!

So she stayed home.

She rested all day and felt pretty good by afternoon.

The being sick part totally stinks.....but at least it doesn't last long!

Now, if we can just make sure no one else gets it!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday October 18

So I felt pretty lousy all night last night, and all day today.

So I was pretty much worthless.

But Brent got a lot done :)

He took care of me, started clearing out the garden, covered the septic back up, brought the bridge from the canal up to the house to use as a ramp for when Dussy boy comes to visit :)

He was pretty busy all day.

After school, Cassi's friends came over to work on an assignment.

Madi wasn't feeling too well after school....

Dang it!

I am feeling better now, so at least we know it is a quick thing!

Port started basketball practice tonight.

It will be a lot of fun, except that the practice is 8-9!

Ugh....why so late?!?!?!?!

But it sounds like Brent will be able to help as an assistant coach, which is always fun for Port and him!

Monday October 17

Had a few things going on today.

I got some shopping done for the mutual Halloween activity we are having on Wednesday evening.

Dad had a few things to get to.

He dug out down to the septic.

Pulled the lid off........and we were immediately grateful we scheduled this appointment!!!!!!!!!

Ha ha!

While waiting for the septic guy to come, Dad got going on finishing my shelves.

I had to leave to take Elsie to PT.

He did an awesome job and i am so excited about it!

One step closer to a done kitchen!!!!!!

We had a little FHE tonight.......folding socks :)

It was fun spending the time together, until the fighting started :(

 (just imagine....white cabinets, beautifully decorated shelves.....I am so excited!!!!)

I have been so excited for a place to display the milk carrier that belonged to Grandpa Keith's Father.

I love the stories Gramps tell about delivering milk with his Dad in a horse drawn sleigh......

It is a very special item in our home!

Sunday October 16 (more pictures to add from my phone)

So they did, in fact, split the stake today.

They also took a road from our ward, but there were no members living there, so we weren't affected really.

Sp no ward changes.....but I know that has got to happen in the near future!

We are just too ridiculously large not to split......and there are lot of areas that are still growing!

Anyway.....it was a nice meeting.

But I won't lie...it was way easier to listen last night without any little ones there!

After church, Cassi made some cookies.

We are trying to bribe Kyra into coming to choir practice!

It didn't work today :(

Maybe next time......

Cassi, Elsie, Avery and I went to practice, and that was fun.

When we came home, Avery and Cassi put together a FHE to do to pass off a Personal Progress thing.

So after dinner, we went to the Morgans to have FHE, since it is hard to coordinate anything on a Monday night with the Morgan family :)

It was a fun time and the girls gave a lesson on Faith and they did a great job!

Saturday October 15

I took some photos this morning....I was worried about the wind and rain, but it ended up being pretty perfect weather for pictures.

With beautiful overcast lighting :)

When I came home, the kids were doing a good job getting cleaning jobs done.

I wish it still looked the same now that it did then!!!!!

Why do they mess it all up so quickly!!!!!!

Anyway, kids hung out with friends, I washed and sorted laundry.

Then tonight was the adults session of stake conference and it was confirmed that it will in fact be reorganized tomorrow.

So we will see how it goes.

The meeting tonight was great.

Basically the message I came home with......

Have faith.

Do what is right and things fall into place.....today, tomorrow, in five years, or not even this life time, but it all works out.

And also we don't need to try and be anyone else's Savior.

That role is already filled......so as much as there are people in ours lives we may want to save, the best thing we can do is choose the right and have faith in Heavenly Fathers plan.

It will all work out.

Also.....there was a lot of talk about family scripture study.

I do enjoy our family scripture reading time :)

I really think it is one of the most important things we will do for our kids.

It was a nice meeting.

It did run late though........

Cass was home with her friend Lily.

But Madi and Carley watched the little ones at the Morgan's house.

They all had a fun night, even if it did go late :)

Friday October 14 (add football pictures)

It was another bust day.

Not many un-busy days anymore :)

After the kids got off to school, Drew came over to hang a couple cabinet doors!

They look so awesome and I seriously can't wait to have my kitchen put together and done!!!!!!

I am thinking it might actually really happen!!!!!

Very exciting!

We also had the septic people over, but they couldn't find it.....so we had to wait until the afternoon to have the guy with the camera come and find it.

They will be back out Monday with the tank to pump it out.

Dad ran some errands....new filters for the furnace, return of a light that was supposed to last 45 years....you know, that kind of stuff :)

I went to Elsie's art smart and it was a fun time.

The artist was Claus Oldernburg and we made some over-sized paper pizzas.

I think they turned out pretty great.

After school there wasn't much time before we had to leave for Port's last Friday Night Football game.

It was a good season :)

And it was a fun team.

Afterwards we all, the Edwards, the Leavitt's and us, went out to eat at Texas Roadhouse to celebrate.

It was a really fun night :)

Elsie's pizza is the one on the left with the olives.

SO CUTE!!!!!

I wasn't there when the kids gathered for pictures :(

But at least I was sent a photo.....

Thursday October 13

I did art smart with Port's class today.

It turned out good and was a lot of fun.

Tomorrow I get to do Elsie's class :)

I got home and had to take a little nap.

I am trying the 'wake up early to work out' thing.

That way I get it done and showered before the little ones are up.....

And I am loving it.....but I am also having a hard time adjusting :)

It'll happen though.

Dad went and picked Cassi up for me at 12.

Then she and I went and picked Port up for a appointment with a dermatologist.

Port had a spot on his head I wanted checked out.

I thought it was possibly ring worm.

Cass also has a bunch of spots.

But the doc scraped them and looked under the microscope and thought maybe it was more of a eczema kind of thing.

We got some medicine to put on it, and she said we would know in a day or two if it was working or not.

Sow e wait.

We also had him look at Cassi's warts.

Poor girl has so many!

We have had them frozen off so many times.......they just keep coming back.

He has a more aggressive treatment to try.

So he froze them today and we will be putting a cream on it.

Then in a month, we will go back and freeze again and continue with the cream.

Then repeat until they are gone for good.

He treated 6 warts.....but after we left and she started looking, we ended up missing about 7 more!

So I don't know if we just wait for our next month appointment and do them then, she is pretty miserable right now with the ones she did today :(

Anyway.....we are hoping to be wart-less in the near future!

Tonight was read night for the little ones.

So while the big girls went to the senior girls volleyball game, Dad and I went with the little ones to the school.

They had some fun activities and I think it was a fun night.

They also got to pick a book out from the book fair.

Yay for more reading!

They got dutch bros after for being so brave :)

Wednesday October 12 (add pictures)

I am so tired.

So Elsie woke up at 3:30 a.m.......

I thought I had her convinced to go back to sleep.....but she was up crying again at 4 :(

So I grabbed my phone and the couch cushions and laid on her floor.....and laid there until 5:00 listening to her whine and cry, and me promising her stuff if she would just go to sleep!!!!!!

She did finally fall asleep at 5.

I dozed until my phone alarm went off at 5:30.

I couldn't sleep anyway....so I went down and got a work out....which was actually pretty awesome!

Anyway.......the day went fine.

I am just tired.

I let Elsie sleep until about 8:15 before I woke her up.

She was tired today, but she had a good day at school, so that is good.

It was 'eat lunch with your parents day' today at Mary Mac....

Dad and I went to hang out with them.

One of those early morning promises I made was to bring her warm mac and cheese from KFC :)

So that's what I bought her and Port got a happy meal.

We ran a few errands after that.

Then Drew and Heather stopped by to say hi and get more measurements for the cabinet doors.

This afternoon I got some stuff ready both for YW this evening and for teaching Art Smart tomorrow morning.

I am a queen procrastinator!

For YW we made photo booth props for the ward Halloween party in a couple weeks.

I am so tired.....but I still have to finish prepping Art Smart for tomorrow........

It will be fun, and totally worth it!

Tuesday October 11

I was supposed to help in the office this morning and also in Porter's class......but I have just been feeling off :(

Not really sick, just having a hard time breathing.

Or getting a good breathe, I should say.

So I stayed home......

But we did get a few things done late in the afternoon.

Well, Brent ran to the bank, and then I got a call from the school that Cassi had a migraine.

So he picked her up on the way back.

Poor girl just went in bed and slept for a couple hours.

We got our old bed taken out of our old bedroom and I listed it on Craigslist and Facebook.....

I guess I should have listed it for more because it was gone the first hour!

Brent also went to Lowes for some stuff and saw that the washers were on sale.

So we decided it was time to buy a new one.

I was having to go and restart the washer every 10 minutes or so.

Very annoying!

So we got a new one and I am very thankful.

The kids helped get the old bedroom vacuumed and cleaned up, and we got the bag hung up there and a few other things.

Now it is our workout room :)
